I have been growing my hair over the past couple of years. Its been a while since I have hair this long and I had forgotten what a hassle it can be to wash and dry it, and the time it takes. So I have been trying to go every other day and not wash it, but struggling in the shower not to get my hair wet. And since I flat iron it normally that completely defeats the purpose if it gets wet.
So I went on the search for a shower cap. I had never worn a shower cap before and honestly thought it was only something my grandma would wear because she got her hair done once a week at the hair dressers. So I wasn’t real sure what to expect. So I started my shopping experience on Amazon.com. After seeing the different varieties on line I settled the Lula Lilly Designer Shower Cap for Small & Petite Women (Adult Regular, Purple Lotus).
It came pretty quick since I had an Amazon Prime account. I got 2 day free shipping. You can Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial too by clicking on the link. So the cap came in a small plastic bag and included a cool suction hook. Most shower caps have really strange designs on them, but I thought the Lula Lily cap design was really cute. What do you think?
The first time I wore it in the shower I just shoved my hair into the shower cap and it did not attempt to secure the hair in any way…. the cap did not work as well as I would like it and I got a good amount of water on my lower part of my head. So the next time I used it I put my hair in a loose ponytail and put the shower cap on and made sure the elastic part came over my ears. This time the shower cap worked much better and I only experienced a little water at the base of my head, which was quickly remedied with a short use of the hair dryer but the rest of my hair looked great!
I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to maintain their blowout or just do not want to bother with the full blown wash , dry and style. And I think it just looks cute 🙂
